Hi legal eagles, just wondering if there is any buyers from Ireland. I live in Dublin.
Would anybody be interested in meeting up to further strengthing our resolve to get our money back.
Maybe the same can be done in England, Wales, Scotland and Spain etc.
Any input is more than welcome.

The concept of asking investors to visit Tangier for the meeting on 18th Feb at our own cost in time and pound notes, then deny a site visit is just plain insulting. I have received an eamil from Prestige stating the refusal to visit the site is based on Health and Safety. I pointed out workers will not be on site on the weekend so the H&S risk is very much reduced. It is plain they are hiding something otherwise more photos and detailed info would have been uploaded to the PGBR website. If we have to fly to Morocco, they have to allow a site visit, period. Prestige are also not informing us of the meetings agenda, they already know the agenda but are not sharing it with us. 
 
We can all get upset with buying a property abroad but our deposits are already spent and we will never see them again so our choice is to make the best of a poor situation. I know investors in Spain where the developer disappeared with the money.
 
It is up to Prestige to come clean and work with us as we all feel they are against us currently.

Yes it is going on six years since I decided to take the plunge and invest in a property PGBR Morocco. What a great mistake it has turned out to be.
I do not contribute a lot to this forum but I feel the time has come to state my feelings.
 
I can foresee only one winner with this nightmare and that is the developer and Prestige who no doubt have received commission for the selling of the properties in addition to monies they have received from each of us purchasers as agent fees.
 
I am very sorry for being so pessimistic but I cannot see an end to this saga.
Relating to the forthcoming meeting, I can see no point whatsoever attending if it means a denial to inspect what has been built and to make a judgement on the quality of the site.
Like some of the investors I too feel like licking my wounds and walking away losing my deposit. I do not know the answers to this dilemma, it is just unfortunate that English law cannot be instigated to establish fairness and integrity between seller and purchaser.
Perhaps a campaign of publicity, newspapers, TV etc is a way forward. I dont really know. The one thing I am certain of is I shall never, never purchase property outside of the UK ever again.

If they won't let those who go to the meeting see round the site then they might as well hold the meeting in a hotel in or around London and this saves loads of people spending even more money. at least you got an answer - i also asked why they couldn't come to the uk and hold a meeting - even if all the uk investors put money in the pot for the representatives to come here it would be cheaper than going there!
 
i'm beginning to think i will have to walk away from this development and loose my deposit - it's the first time i've tried to invest abroad and it'll be the last - it's just not worth the hassle.  i should've bought a buy to let iin the uk!

Below is the reply I recieved from Prestige when i asked why  the developer cant come over to the UK to meet us .It would be a cheaper option for us seeing that there is no access to the development apparently. As usual all very very vague and no real answer.Come on Prestige we know you read the pages.Just be honest with us!!!!!!!!!!!!
